Description

Young artists will explore the creative possibilities of clay while learning the fundamentals of handbuilding. Students will create both functional and sculptural pottery using a variety of techniques, including pinching, coiling, slab construction, and extruding.

Projects will be personalized through a range of surface decoration methods such as stamping, carving, and impressing textures with materials like lace, handmade stamps, and natural objects. Along the way, students will build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and discover the joy of transforming a lump of clay into one-of-a-kind works of art.
