Description

The curriculum includes hand-building, wheel-throwing, glaze application and decorative techniques on high-fired stoneware.. Students will learn a variety of wheel throwing and hand building techniques to create forms of their choice, including attaching two or more wheel thrown forms. Examples of goblets and bottles will be demonstrated. Functional and sculptural ceramics are encouraged. Demos and hands on instruction will be offered throughout the course. Because clay melts at different temperatures, only pots made in our studio with clay supplied by the Pottery may be fired in our kilns.
