Description

A favorite mug. A bowl made for sharing. That wonderfully wonky first pot. There’s nothing quite like holding something in your hands and thinking, “I made this!”

This class welcomes potters of all levels, from “green” beginners to well-seasoned, “vitrified” makers! There’s a place for you at the wheel or around the worktable as we explore wheel throwing, handbuilding, surface decoration, and glazing high-fired stoneware. Demonstrations and hands-on guidance will help you along, while special projects offer fresh challenges. Fellow makers bring inspiration, encouragement, and plenty of shared laughter. Bring your ideas, your curiosity, and a willingness to try... we’ll make a little mess and see what takes shape!

Bench time is included for additional practice and making outside of class.

Clay and tools may be purchased at the first class.

Because different clays require different firing temperatures, only work made in our studio with clay purchased from Wesleyan Potters may be fired in our kilns.
