Description

For Ages 12-17

A mug that’s unmistakably yours. A bowl for your favorite snacks. Something you haven’t even dreamed up yet. Start with a lump of clay and see where your ideas take you!

Structured like our adult pottery classes, Teen Pottery introduces you to wheel throwing and glazing stoneware, with handbuilding demonstrations to open up even more possibilities. You’ll get hands-on guidance as you learn, experiment, and find your own style alongside other creative teens. Expect some wobbly pots, satisfying breakthroughs, and plenty of chances to try again. Bring your curiosity... getting messy is part of the fun!

Bench time is included for additional practice and making outside of class.

Clay and tools may be purchased at the first class.

Because different clays require different firing temperatures, only work made in our studio with clay purchased from Wesleyan Potters may be fired in our kilns.
