Description

Learn to create luminous colored surfaces on copper with Prismacolor drawing pencils. Learn the process of preparing the metal, priming the surface and permanently adhering your design or image to the metal. We will learn to build color in layers, blend colors and create strong color coverage on copper surfaces. This class is great for jewelers and those who are already doing bead and wire work and are comfortable working with tools.

Suitable for beginning to advanced students. Students should have completed at least one basic metal smithing class, or be comfortable with basic bead and wire jewelry. Students should also feel comfortable using basic jewelers hand tools such as sawing, filing, and sanding metal.

Materials Fee will cover:

  • Prepared copper blanks for project
  • Prismacolor Pencils
  • Gesso
  • Tools used for project
