Description
Cloisonne Enameling is a centuries old art form, created in cultures throughout the world. It is also a contemporary art form where powdered glass is fuzed onto metal (copper, silver and gold), with the use of a kiln that reaches temperatures of 1450 degrees to achieve complete fusion. Fine silver or gold wires are bent to form cells, or cloisons, creating a pattern or design to which the powdered glass is applied. Stunning gem-like results can enhance one of a kind pieces of hand fabricated jewelry, small sculptures, or vessels.
